Handmade Arcade AND the No Guts No Glory Shop Relaunch!

Wednesday 7th March

We are very excited and happy to announce that on Saturday 7th April we'll be holding the first of our regular Indie Art & Makers fairs AND relaunching a brand new and improved No Guts No Glory Shop!

Yep, we've been in the NGNG lab working away on a more than healthy amount of new things - here's what we have in store for you....

So, Saturday 7th April will mark the first of our Indie Art & Makers fairs, that will take place from then on the first Saturday of every month!

Handmade Arcade is an alternative kind of craft fair, a home of independent art, a celebration of culture outside of the mainstream, and a place to find amongst other things a handpicked selection of contemporary crafts, screen-printed material, illustrations and hand bound books; all with a focus on small environmentally friendly production techniques and a DIY ethos. Bringing together a community of artists and makers, and providing the people of Exeter with a tasteful and affordable alternative to the blandness of High Street Shopping!

There will be live music, lots of lovely creations for you to see and of course some hearty home-cooked food from McCoys Cafe!

Be sure to keep up to date over at the Handmade Arcade Blog - you can also find out how to book a stall there too!

You can also follow Handmade Arcade on Facebook and Twitter - tell your friends too :)

Saturday 7th April will also see us unveil the all new No Guts No Glory Shop too!

Were making room for a selection of awesome Independent Magazines and Specialist Books - all about D.I.Y Arts and Culture! There will also be displays filled with the wares of local creators for you to feast your eyes on, and plenty more lovely prints, zines and greetings cards for you to browse :)

Never ones to make it easy for ourselves, we've been collecting wooden pallets and the like from local traders to build all of the new shop fittings from! We'll hopefully remember to charge the camera batteries on future making sessions to keep you up to date with what we're building!

It's been a crazy few months with our thoughts constantly turned to planning and making room for new ideas, but we'd like to say a special Thank You to Joel Millerchip! Joel has not only designed the above posters for us, but is also working on some A-Boards for the shop AND a brand new Mural for our Wall :)
It takes the patience of a saint to work with our ever changing and scatty ideas, but luckily for us Joel has a knack for understanding what we're working on and we appreciate his shared excitement for our projects.

I think that's al for now, although we'll be sure to keep you updated with the progress!

So come join us on Saturday 7th April!

Tell your friends :)

Nath and Hayley
