Wrap Magazine and the latest issues of Oh Comely and Vice!
Thursday 24th May
Today, something quite special landed on the doormat in the No Guts No Glory shop - a magazine that we've been so excited to see ever since we first learnt of its multi-functional use and vibrant illustrations! Welcome to the colourful world of WRAP Magazine, a magazine that is not just for reading! Oh no no - this is a magazine with other ideas...
=WRAP's boldly illustrated large format (A3 sized!) pages hold the potential to distract us from writing blogs such as this for hours, filled with articles and interviews based on illustration, design and some really awesome photography!
So what is it that makes WRAP truly unique?? Well, if you haven’t already guessed by the name, not only is WRAP a great read and visual treat, the reverse of each and every page is covered in a huge A2 illustration and can be easily pulled out and re-used as wrapping paper! Such an awesome and totally unique way to wrap gifts or adorn the very walls of your humble abode!
What’s more, each and every page of this UK based independent magazine is printed onto 100% recycled FSC certified paper using Vegetable based Inks!

We love receiving parcels with hand written messages! Thanks Polly & Chris :)

Each issue or WRAP features illustrations and designs by 10 artists, all based around a theme for that particular issue! This quarter is all about North America! So that’s 10 sheets of beautiful illustrations, as well as mini corresponding note cards that are easily torn out from the back page!

WRAP is the perfect magazine to accompany you on a sunny afternoon – Once you’ve been enveloped in it’s beautifully presented large format pages and satisfied your reading desires with playful and informative articles, you could get lost in the many ideas of things to make with WRAP’s pages! We’re thinking sunshades and origami boats…

Each of WRAP's lovely pages is held together by an elastic band - so no need to worry about staples tearing them!
We also recently received the latest issue of the inspiring Oh Comely Magazine!

Issue 10 interviews with British Circus founder, Nell Gifford, as well as Andrew Bird, Wild Flag and Joe Bleakley, artistic director of the Lord Of The Rings Trilogy!
This awesome issue is also filled with loads of really awesome photography and a great article about Artists and Their Tools - from Paraffin Guns to Bamboo Sticks!
Last month we were excited to announce that VICE Magazine had finally come back to Exeter. They didn't last too long on the No Guts No Glory's Magazine Rack, and we doubt very much that the latest issue will either...

This issue is called 'It's Actually Quite Wierd', and is full of Vice's usual take on the world. Oh, it's also still FREE!
The next issue of Aperture and Adbusters are on their way to NGNG, and rumour has it that Jack Teagle's Nobrow comic 'Fight! 2', as well some great reads from Microcosm and Last Hours are en route too!
Until Soon,
Hayley and Nath
